Psychic Phrenology - Franz Joseph Gall founded the science of phrenology, born in 1758, he studied medicine and became a physician, practising and lecturing on his theories in Vienna. Gall studied the varying sizes and shapes of the skull, looking for a correlation between undulations of the skull, mental ability and personality. The head was divided into zones, each of which related to areas of the brain responsible for certain faculties.
